Resource Genesee when you want to
give help (through volunteerism and donations),
get help (we can connect you with any human or social service in the county, tax help, homeless outreach), or
learn to lead (through our youth and adult leadership programs).
We are located in Flint, Michigan and serve all of Genesee County, Michigan. Resource Genesee collaborates with local charities, non profit organizations, businesses and educational institutions to fulfill our mission:
Mobilize people and resources to build a thriving, vibrant community.
You can join with us in achieving this mission by volunteering, enrolling in our leadership programs, serving on our board of directors, or inviting us to speak to your organization about our programs and services.
We also appreciate your help through donations, sponsorships, referrals and more.
As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the programs and services offered through Resource Genesee are supported through donations, sponsorships from businesses, grants, the United Way, tuition from leadership programs and
Community SourceBook sales.
Resource Genesee has been a vital part of Genesee County since 1997. Its roots go even deeper. Previously known as The Resource Center, Resource Genesee was created as a merger of Leadership Flint (started in 1973 and now known as Leadership Genesee), the Flint Executive Service Corps (created in 1983), the United Way Voluntary Action Center (started in 1966) and First Call for Help (which dates back to the 1940s). All of these important efforts joined together to become Resource Genesee.
